Ils préparent une nouvelle offensive avec Ben Laden." Question : "Vos troupes peuvent-elles encore résister ?" Massoud : "Nous sommes certains de pouvoir encore résister comme avant". Question : "Quelles sont les preuves de l'aide apportée par le Pakistan aux talibans ?" Massoud : "Je vais vous donner des exemples. D'abord, vous avez vu vous-mêmes qu'il y avait des pakistanais parmi nos prisonniers talibans. Ensuite, le président pakistanais, le Général Moucharaf a déclaré à la radio que des pachtouns du Pakistan travaillaient en zone tribale du Panshir. C'en est la preuve." Question : "L'islam tolérant que vous pronez, quel est-il ?" Massoud : ""Un islam qui reflète l'aspiration du peuple, un islam qui peut vivre avec tous les pays autour de nous ainsi qu'avec les occidentaux". Question : "Quand on se promène sur les pistes du Panshir, on voit des femmes avec le tchadri comme à Kaboul. C'est la même chose ?" Massoud : "A Kaboul, on impose les choses par la force, ici les femmes choississent. Quand nous étions à Kaboul, les femmes étudiaient et travaillaient sans problème". Question : "Si vous étiez au pouvoir, donneriez vous le droit de vote et au travail des femmes ?" Massoud : "A 100%, nous avons toujours dit que les femmes pouvaient voter, être élues, faire des études et travailler". Enfin, il remercie la délégation européenne dont la visite constitue selon lui un pas positif.
